ReplyDeleteJust wanted to add my sincere, heartfelt thanks for you guys finishing this... I remember how I felt when translation stopped on this manga, and when you all did your best providing summaries, and then finally picking it up to translate for real... This is one of the few mangas I own some volumes of in hard copy, one of the mangas I never gave up on keeping up with, and I just want to thank you guys for not giving up on it as well, even when it was difficult. Thank you for making it possible for me, and for all other KDAD fans out there, to read it to the very end.

ReplyDeleteI can't say thank you enough for the scanlations! Now that I've digested this finale/chapter...I hope the mangaka will do one more series with Tsubaki/Naedoko, but it'll be hard... (since the end is a time-skip to a very very adorable ending in my opinion) butif there is, I really hope the unanswered question of Naedoko's dad's occupation will be answered...and that there'll be more cameos (like momo-chan and the former prez pressing his case. ^_^)...and I'm sorta surprised at myself since there was no question on any triangles or whatnot, but Tsubaki sorta steals the show at times. (It's one of those situations where one wonders about Naedoko's obliviousness at stuff)
ReplyDeleteOn separate note: I guess even with the two dating, Naedoko never dropped below the 30th place in the school exams. ^_^ That and if she did achieve the position mentioned in ch 39, then she should be able to go to some nice universities (as mentioned in ch 15, page 14?) how on earth does Tsubaki finish wooing her? (or...on a boring makjang note: doesn't the pair ever have misunderstandings? It might easy to resolve them in high school, but university setting might be more difficult) ^_^ oh well.
On a Tsubaki note: I'm sorta wondering if Tsubaki's older sister is doing any voodoo dolls on Naedoko since she's probably wondering what went wrong since chances are, Tsubaki'll be the newspaper prez (insead of say...the broadcasting club prez ^_^)
possible last page spoiler: I can only imagine how Naedoko tells the "story" (or how Tsuabki or even Tsubaki's older sister would tell it: "You dad didn't want to talk to ugly girls...at first" or... "You dad got cursed by a lower woman"...or "Your mom has no sense of being female")

After following this for years seeing it end makes me sad a little, although I should be happy that it managed to reach a nice and conclusive ending. Still... I wanted to see more of their relationship. ;_;

ReplyDeleteLots of unanswered questions. ^_^ Parental groups and interactions, will Natsukusa win Hanai? Will we see more of the former student council prez? ^_^ (I sorta wish for a possible sordid triangle...poor Tsubaki...he gets the girl, but I'm wondering about the path. ^_^ After all, Naedoko still seems a bit...dense...and tends to have some misunderstanding) oh well... I'm just still grateful for the scanlators and their hard work
ah! I forgot! I'm also curious as to what profession Naedoko eventually entered...Analyst of some sort?...or did she follow her father's footsteps, whatever it is..
