We're looking for a new proofreader!

Hi everyone, we are looking for a new proofreader!

We're extremely happy with the job our current proofreader, Jupika, does; unfortunately she's been very busy with school and we need someone to help her and the team in order to release our chapters as fast as possible.

Proofreading is one of the most important parts of our process, the original translation and the final chapter tend to differ a lot, especially with manga like KdAd, where a lot of text is present.

These are the requirements:
  • Proofread the text file and then check the typeset chapter at least twice.
  • Have free time to work on Tsujita Ririko's manga, this includes KdAd, KnAn, and one shots. For KdAd you'd have to be able to work on it within the first week of release (the translation and cleaning is usually done right after the magazine is bought, we should be typesetting the weekend after the release).
  • Have good grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Rephrase a lot of things for them to sound natural while keeping the original meaning.
  • Some basic knowledge of Japanese (not mandatory, but it'd be the best, if the translator missed some small text or SFX you should be able to translate it)

Jupika will be helping and guiding you until you get the hang of it.

If you're interested please send us an e-mail to wishfulscans@gmail.com

Thanks a lot, we hope to hear from you!

Thanks to everyone who sent us a message!

  4. I don't know any Japanese, but I could volunteer to check the English. I have proofread a lot of assignments for my International friends over the years. I will send the email to you by today :) -sanika.
