DeleteThere is a argument regarding this topic (with scans being stolen content and thus the scan group really has no ownership of it). While the manga they uploaded is not entirely "theirs" they do own the translation and editing, making this particular distribution as theirs.
DeleteHowever, I do understand your frustration regarding the password (i took a while to figure it out), but it doesn't mean you should spout about moral standing about sharing when you dont even contribute to the work of providing Raws, cleaning, typesetting or translating.
I'm not here to pick a fight - i just dont believe the up-loaders should be scolded about protecting content which they clearly have worked so hard on.
YOU don't have any standing to whine about a password. You want to read the manga without, YOU translate it. Can't or don't have the time? Then better appreciate the ones who do. If they want their hard work protected for a week or two via password, so be it. I love the manga enough that I'll seek out the password and be able to read it. If you don't want to deal with the password, wait a week or two when they are kind enough to post it openly.

ReplyDeleteWe added passwords to avoid manga aggregators to upload against our wishes within minutes of posting it. It is precisely because we're treading upon a gray area of legality that we don't want these chapters uploaded to a thousand different websites(That will profit off our free scanlations!). If we're releasing an English version of the chapter we've bought, we want it uploaded to only one website.
We want to support Tsujita as much as we can; three of our members buy the magazines and volumes and we will immediately stop when KdAd gets licensed.
You don't have to re-read the entire series to find the pass, there's a wikia you can go to, you can also stop reading if the password annoys you, you can wait a week to read it on Batoto...
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! How can that person be so rude and ungrateful to you!!! You guys do such a brilliant job, I appreciate you guys' hard work! And I don't understand why there are people complaining about the password??? It's actually pretty easy to find the answer, just use google or the wiki page and there it is!! I mean if you're a avid reader of this manga you should be able to know the password!

ReplyDelete( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) okay I've lost it. Is there anything I can help with? I know how to clean very darn well, and am about an N4 in Japanese or so. I can do basic text typesetting but I'm not very good at SFX's. I just can't sit still anymore.
ReplyDeleteIf you check the progress, all of the cleaning, typesetting and translating is done (for 37), all that's needed is proof reading and quality checking; but otherwise if you want to give an extra helping hand for the next chapter (38) then go ahead and help out, I'm sure the staff and readers would appreciate it. :)
